Whether you’re building a high-end custom, a weekend cruiser or simply looking for unbeatable braking performance for your Ford 9” Diff equipped vehicle, our Wilwood 16” 6 Piston Caliper Rear Big Brake Kit is quite simply the ultimate braking package in terms of quality, performance and size. With 16” (406.4mm) cross drilled and slotted rotors and massive 6 piston forged aluminium calipers, this kit is one of the largest brake kits available on the market today and the absolute largest kit that will fit inside a 20” wheel. This kit uses custom machined billet aluminium rotor hats, billet backing plates and caliper mounts manufactured by Little Shop MFG in combination with the unquestionable quality and performance of Wilwood rotors and calipers, all of which are proudly made in the USA. This kit also comes complete with a Wilwood in hat, drum style park brake assembly which provides the practicality of an OEM style park brake without compromising the clean symmetrical appearance of the front and rear brake setups. This kit is designed to be used in conjunction with our front Wilwood 16” 6 Piston Big Brake Kits. Both front and rear kits are designed to work together with different caliper piston bore sizes to keep the front/rear bias proportional while maintaining identical rotor and caliper size and appearance front and rear to achieve the perfect seamless custom look.

This kit utilises the TC6R Radial Mount Caliper which represents a completely new generation of refinement in Big Brake Technology from Wilwood. Six stainless pistons captured within a massive high strength forged aluminium powder coated body generate the stopping power and durability to stylishly handle the heavy loads of custom high-powered vehicles, especially the heavier loads exerted by classic pickup trucks and muscle cars.

This kit combines the high clamping efficiency of the TC6R caliper with Wilwoods SRP 16” diameter directional vane rotors and high friction BP-10 compound brake pads. SRP Performance Rotors feature a specially engineered directional cross drill and face slot pattern that improve brake response and pad performance throughout the entire range of light to heavy braking. The venting and cleaning action of the holes and slots will reduce pad glaze and disperse gases and heat generated during the pad to rotor interface. The holes and slots also inhibit irregular pad compound build-up on the rotor faces resulting in smoother engagement and improved pedal response in all conditions. Along with the excellent performance characteristics of this rotor design, each rotor is treated with a black electro coat to inhibit corrosion on all areas of the rotor. The high-tech design, classic style, and aesthetic appeal of the SRP series rotor combined with the TC6R caliper are the perfect finishing touches for your high-performance custom vehicle.

This brake kit is designed to fit a Ford 9” diff with big Ford new style axles with a 2.5″ offset. This kit will fit most 20” or larger wheels but it is the buyer’s responsibility to verify their wheel interior clearance with the wheel clearance diagram shown above prior to purchase.
