We only offer the highest quality kits manufactured by Classic Performance Products from the USA which include the options that are most sought after when upgrading to a Mustang II IFS system. This Mustang II IFS Big Brake kit has many advantages over our standard Mustang II IFS kits which use smaller brakes to suit a minimum wheel diameter of 15″. This kit uses a completely different CPP hybrid Corvette style 2” drop spindle and a sealed bearing C7 Corvette hub. The C7 Corvette hub is the strongest on the market and uses significantly larger bearing races and ball bearings rather than tapered roller bearings for massively improved strength, performance and longevity. The sealed bearing hubs come pre-loaded and factory set so there is no messy packing of bearings which makes the install super simple and means they are completely maintenance free.

Another big advantage of this Mustang II IFS Big Brake kit is the ability to adjust the wheel track to suit your vehicle. The kit can be set to standard Mustang II track width or narrowed by ¼” or ½” each side to increase outer tyre clearance. This adjustment can make a huge difference when you’re running larger wheel/ tyre combinations and a lowered ride height.

This kit uses CPP 13” cross drilled/ slotted zinc washed rotors with Corvette style calipers. These CPP PBR C15 calipers have twin 52mm pistons and a larger brake pad surface area that offers about 60% more stopping power than the typical C5 Mustang II caliper. This brake setup provides a dramatic increase in braking performance and safety for your vehicle.

This Mustang II IFS – Coil Over Kit – 13″ Big Brakes comes complete with dual adjustable, aluminium Viking Coil Overs that allow for a fully adjustable ride height as well as adjustable compression and rebound dampening of the shocks themselves. This kit also includes coil over specific control arms for a simple bolt in installation without the need for any modifications. The combination of the CPP 2” drop spindles and the adjustable Viking coil overs gives you the flexibility to get the stance and feel of your pickup dialled in perfectly while providing dramatically improved ride quality and handling. This complete Mustang II IFS – Coil Over Kit – 13″ Big Brakes includes:

– Model specific fabricated crossmember.

– Model specific fabricated coil spring style top hats.

– Model specific chassis rail boxing plates.

– Coil over specific tubular upper and lower control arms and ball joints.

– Forged 2” drop spindle assemblies with spacers for track adjustment.

– Complete sealed bearing Corvette hub assemblies including ½”-20 wheel studs. Hubs are multi stud Chev 5×4.75” and Ford 5×4.5”.

– CPP 13” cross drilled/ slotted zinc washed rotors.

– CPP PBR C15 calipers powder coated black, including brake pads.

– Braided flex brake lines.

– Viking fully adjustable aluminium coil overs.

– Viking 600lbs coil over specific springs. This spring weight is recommended for classic pickup truck applications, other spring weights available upon request.

– Coil over thrust bearings for easy height adjustments.

– Coil over adjuster tools.

– Left hand drive power rack & pinion steering rack with inner rack ends and tie rods. Rack input shaft suits 3/4″-36 spline universal joint.

– Heavy-duty sway bar and mounts.

– The kit comes with all required mounting hardware.

– Please note this kit requires 17” diameter or larger wheels. If you wish to run 15” diameter wheels our Mustang II IFS – Coil Over Kit – 11.75″ Brakes is recommended.

– 47-54 Chevrolet pickup kits have a 55.5″ track width, 55-59 Chevrolet pickup and 53-56 Ford pickup kits have a 59.5″ track width standard.

– This is not a bolt in kit and does require welding and fabrication in order to be installed correctly. This kit is a direct replacement of the factory I beam axle, leaf springs, steering box, and brakes for a 1947 – 1959 Chevrolet or 1953 – 1956 Ford pickup with stock chassis rails. If the factory chassis of your pickup has been previously modified, this kit may not fit as it is intended and additional fabrication may be required. It is up to the buyer to determine if this kit is suitable for their particular vehicle and application. All welding and fabrication should be performed by a qualified person and certified by an engineer in order to ensure an adequate and safe installation prior to use.
