Right Hand Drive Mustang II IFS Power Steering Rack

Whether you’re building a high end custom, a weekend cruiser or simply wanting to convert your Mustang II IFS equipped vehicle to right hand drive, our Right Hand Drive Mustang II IFS Power Steering Rack is the perfect and most economical solution available on the market.

Our Right Hand Drive power racks are completely brand new units made specifically for us by Flaming River Industries in the USA. Flaming River are very highly regarded for their very high quality range of products.

These racks are specifically designed as a Right Hand Drive replacement for Mustang II IFS setups, this means they have the correct pivot width of 24.25″ to suit standard Mustang II IFS setups to ensure the correct steering geometry is retained. These racks suit 9/16″-18 outer tie rod ends, our Mustang II IFS Replacement Outer Tie Rod Ends are perfectly suited for these racks when used with a Mustang II spindle. These racks have a FR pyramid style input shaft, requiring the use of our Flaming River Polished Stainless Steel FR Power – 3/4″ DD Universal Joint.

Please note these racks are not a direct bolt in conversion and your standard Mustang II steering rack mounts will need to be modified in order for the rack to fit correctly.

Please note these racks should be run at a pressure of 800-850 psi  with a 1.5-2 gpm flow rate. Excessive pressure can cause overly touchy steering and rack damage.

This kit comes complete with:

– Complete RHD Mustang II power rack and pinion steering rack.

– Rack ends (inner tie rods) included, outer tie rod ends not included. These racks suit 9/16″-18 outer tie rod ends, standard Mustang II outer tie rod ends will generally suit.

– Adjustable billet aluminium pillow block mounts, which allow the input shaft angle of the rack to be easily adjusted.

– This product comes complete as shown in the attached images. Power steering pump and lines not included.
